在美國如何和陌生人開始Small Talk!

來到美國之後不管走到哪裡都會有人跟你閒聊！
閒聊的英文叫做small talk～
今天直接來看我如何在洛杉磯的海邊挑戰，邊跳傘邊用英文跟陌生人small talk吧！

Claire：Is this your first time up here?
這是你第一次坐拖曳傘嗎？

陌生人：Uh, no but I haven’t done parasailing here
哦，不是。但我還沒有在這裡（洛杉磯）坐過~

Claire：Because you guys seem fairly chill, so I was assuming that you guys already did it somewhere else
因為你們看起來一點也不緊張，所以我以為你們已經在別的地方玩過了

陌生人：So I’ve done parasailing before
我以前的確有玩過水上拖傘 

Claire：Are you from here?
你是這裡人嗎？

陌生人: Oh, no I’m from Denver
哦，我不是，我是從丹佛來的

Claire：So here for a vacation?
所以你來這裡度假嗎？

陌生人：Yeah
對啊

Claire：That’s nice
聽起來真棒

陌生人：How about you?
那你呢？

Claire：I’m from here but this is my first time. I just like went to the beach last weekend and I saw this thing I was like, whoa, I gotta try that 
我來自這裡，但這是我第一次玩拖曳傘。我上週去海灘逛逛的時候看到有人在玩拖曳傘，當時我就想一定要試試

陌生人：That looks cool, yeah
的確看起來很有趣

Claire: So you’ve done this in Denver?
那你是在丹佛玩拖曳傘的嗎？

陌生人：Uh, no…Uh, I’ve done this in uh The Bahamas, 
哦，不是。我在那個巴哈馬玩過

Claire：That’s even better
聽起來更好玩

陌生人：Yeah, it’s pretty cool
對呀，很酷

就這樣隨意問對方有沒有玩過 “Is this your first time up here (parasailing)?”
再問他是不是在地人 “Are you from here?”  就可以開啟聊天話題～
對方反問我： “How about you?” 那你呢？
我的回答是：我是住在洛杉磯但是這是我第一次玩 “I’m from here but this is my first time! (parasailing)”
